During the six weeks of war there will be one big “war game” each week. The winning tribe will take get a majority of the points while 2nd and 3rd place will get lesser amounts.
Each tribe before the service starts has the opportunity to buy their own specialized colored cash called “Tribe Dollars” and must hold their own “Tribe Dollars” on them. Each tribe receives points for each bill of their color deposited in the designated bag or box. Tribes that place their bills in the bagged tribe dollars in the cash dash box under a set time limit will receive a greater value per bill. Only one person per tribe will be able to make a dash and will have to collect all of their tribe’s money. That one person will be different each week and chosen by a random feature (ex. red hair, braces, innie/outie, etc, etc, etc). There will be different methods of the Cash Dash such as a hidden bag that must be found or physical challenges that must be completed before the designated Dasher can drop their “Tribe Dollars”. Tribes that did not send a correct Dasher (ex. sent a brunette when Dasher should have been redhead) will have to do an extra physical challenge before they can deposit their Tribe Dollars. Referees will make sure that it is the correct Dasher.
A new twist to our Cash Dash fun is what we are calling DIRTY DOLLARS. Dirty Dollars are purchased and follow all the same rules as CASH DASH, only when you purchase a dirty dollar (a dollar for one dirty dollar), you will then need to deposit your dirty dollar in a tribe different than yours at the cafe where you purchase your dirty dollar. Locked canisters will hold all dirty dollars and will be counted during the week with the total cash dash… only a DIRTY DOLLAR will count against the team you assign it to. each dirty buck is the equivalent value of a cash dash buck. Ex. If you purchase 10 dirty bucks for $10, and place them in another tribe’s canister before service starts, that team will be lose 75,000 points during the count.
Six torches will be highlighted every week. Each torch represents the 6 Core Categories that you can gain points in during all of tribe wars. Each week we will highlight a Tribe war Torch (ex. Team Spirit). If you have the most points in the Core Category for that highlighted week, then you will win bonus points. Here are each week of tribe wars and the highlighted category:
Week One: Competition
Week Two: Team Spirit
Week Three: V.I.P. Visitors
Week Four: Flag Stealing
Week Five: The Hunt
Week Six: Cash Dash
On the final week of Tribe Wars, the referee’s will add all performance wins for each tribe and each week for an overall MAJOR bonus for each Core Category. So if your tribe has won stole the most flags during ALL of tribe wars, or your tribe has brought the MOST V.I.P. visitors during ALL of tribe wars then you will win the PERFORMANCE POINTS for your tribe. For actual point value read the points value above.
Tribemen are little specialized figurines that will be hidden everywhere including the church grounds to Parkesburg, Atglen, Christiana, and all over the area. Clues to their whereabouts will be available on twitter and facebook. When someone finds a Tribesman they have to turn it into their tribe leader who will then turn it into Pastor Jake or a Ref for points only before the service. The points will then be applied to the following week and NOT THE CURRENT. This is to avoid anyone who might be in Ketchup Korner from the earlier week.
During tribe huddles there will be a contest to see who can come up with the best cheer for their tribe. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be awarded to the tribes who has the best cheer, most energy, best creativity, unity, dress and tribe spirit.
A list of random, obscure things will be made known to the tribes and it will be their opportunity to get some extra points. The list will range from easy to find things (toy sword) to near impossible (blue horse’n’buggy wheel) to impossible (statue of liberty’s big toe). The more difficult an item to get the more points it is worth. You can only turn in an item once per tribe. A tribe can’t come in with 100 toy swords and collect all those points.
Ketchup Korner is solely for the purpose of giving the tribe in last place a chance to redeem themselves. They will be awarded the points equal to the 3rd place team from the prior week’s total score, making it a 3rd place tie, after being completely and disgustedly messed up with an assortment of different gross elements (ex. ketchup, mustard, sardine grindings, etc). The tribes in last place and 2nd to last place will be made known the week before by a call from Pastor Jake that they are in danger of being in the korner in following week and will need to bring some extra clothes to get messed up in. These two tribes will know that they are in the last two places but will not know who is last. The tribe in dead last place will be the only one that has to do the korner.
A tribe will be awarded major points for bringing a first time visitor and then receding points for the next two weeks if that person comes back (see points). This brings it to a total of three weeks a tribe can get points just from one first-time visitor which will then be an incentive for the visitor to keep coming for the trip. After four (4) weeks of attending TRIBE WARS, a tribe member is eligible for the winning trip.
Capturing another tribe’s flag will give you points. You may not forcefully steal a flag but rather wait until their flag has been put down or use methods of stealth and cunning tactics to trick them into having them hand it over.
You have to have flags for your tribe cheers. 100,000 points will be added to the tribe who was able to take the other tribe and 100,000 subtracted from the tribe it was taken from. You cannot steal any tribe flags during the teaching time or when the “NO FLAG STEALING” sign is up.
1. Have Fun!
2. No swapping tribes! Once you are on a tribe you remain on that tribe for the remaining war weeks. Tribe leaders will make sure this rule is not broken.
In order for you to be eligible to go on the winning trip you have two requirements.
Your tribe must have won the war!
You must have been an active participating warrior for at least four (4) war weeks.
I now feel gross for some reason…
